Summer is here! My favorite way to start the day is gurglers around the mangroves.

One of my favorite pages. Don’t want to ruin it by posting this massive 4 inch snook I caught the other day. Haha.

Ohhhh. Ugly critter! I think I’d have dreams of it jumping out of the net and suctioning to my face

@VinnyL :joy:. I honestly thought he was a cobia. I was anchored out scouting for poon, in probably 10’ ish. Made a couple test cast to gauge my distance, and he shoots out from under the boat. Seen the shape and color and got really excited, until I got em netted..:man_facepalming:

Most recent catches… this past weekend we hooked three small goliath grouper along very shallow backcountry shorelines out of Chokoloskee on relatively large pink and white streamers… No photos since the weather was rainy (when not howling with rain…) and my anglers were having a time with them. One of the three took us to school slamming back under a downed buttonwood tree along the shoreline up in Alligator Bay. These small guys pull really hard when hooked - my anglers were impressed…

@lemaymiami Hey Capt! Just noticed you joined! So glad you’re here. We set up a special part of the forum for Captains and Guides for their fishing reports. Can’t wait to see your fishing reports there!

You’ve always been such an amazing contributor on microskiff. We’re glad to see you here contributing from day 1.

Went poon fishing this morning before my contractor was due at my house at 0730. Saw a disturbance along a shoreline so I slipped in there and made a cast. Glad I had a 9 weight in my hand instead of one of my usual flimsy 7s. Barely landed it. Best one in a while
