Some Dino ribs a did last month. One of my favorite cuts of meat.
Charcoal user here also!
@MikeChamp12 - love me some dinobones. Its like getting only the good part of a brisket. I remember when they were cheap!
So, with the long Independence weekend coming up, what’s on the menu? Got plans to fire up the smoker? Or is a burger and dog weekend?
Let’s see some pictures of your smokers and grills.
Did you know God loves a good barbeque? Lev. 3:5 says “a fire offering is a pleasing aroma to the Lord.”
Im definitely smoking just picked up a fat slab of Ribs, but we will also throw on a half dozen or so burgers anytime i fire the grill up wife feeds a couple of the neighbors seniors in the hood
they love them Drifter Ribs cause you can suck them right off the bone
no teeth needed!
I got to get the pictures thing figured out for sure so i can post pictures of grilled stuff, and i have another Lil surprise that i added to my panga id like to showcase!
Ohh - good call @fishnpreacher - I think I need to consider some meat!
Well the burgers the wife cooked on the 4th on our “lil joe Oklahoma” was awesome,i actually have a tendency to over cook them like the last we had, today i did the ribs and chicken on the big grill turned out really good the ribs was juicy and tender infact when i turned them last time they dumped about half a cup of juice in the grill, yes instead of usen the foil pan as usual i wrapped them in foil after coating them in my secret sauce … really happy with the outcome hope everyone had a great 4th of july AKA independence day
Give us some hints on the sauce…. I like apple cider to mist mine and a little agave nectar or honey and some brown sugar while wrapped. My custom rib rub has some sweet and heat so a sweet sauce while wrapped enhances the flavor profile. Then after unwrapping I keep misting them with apple cider until done
I love to cook its 10:29 wife and wawa are in bed i just made a batch of 15 peanut butter cookies plus i added one cup of oatmeal
The sauce is like a Carolina mustard sauce only ive added a lil heat with my own ingredients i felt should be in it obviously mustard But also honey, brown sugar, ceyenne, smoked paprika, crystal Hot Sauce, chili powder, cummins and several other ingredients ive worked on over the years
its obviously good as the wifes friends keep asking for more,i told her you turn a hobby into a job LOL
As she gives it away as stocking stuffers at Christmas…im actually thinking about a patient for it
…
Its a lot of work but your right the bbq comes out sooooo much betta!
Getting everything ready for tomorrow. Trimmed and rubbed 2 butts, going on the smoker about 6AM, hoping to have them off around 4:30-5:00pm. Then putting a pan of Roosevelt beans in, supper’s at 6, y’all come on!
Leaving now, should there just in time for dinner!
But while we wait
Last night’s visitor, just 10 feet from my bedroom window
He needs to fatten up before fall. I had 5 deer under my peach trees from 8:45 til 9:30 last night.
I hear peach and venison go well together!
My lord that meat looks delicious!! What is it if you don’t mind my asking?
Yesterday evening my son and I threw two racks of spare ribs on the pit with live oak chunks from the ranch and seared/ smoked them for about twenty minutes then finished on 225 in the oven for two hours. I only use sea salt on my meat. They turned out great.
