Looks cool. Is that the mini houseboat/pilot house design you posted on the other site? In for the ride!

Nice. Thanks for posting.

For those of us who can’t remember from the original thread - what are the dimensions going to be on her? If I recall, this is going to serve as a mothership sort of function?

Yes, better format here for sure to share this kind of stuff. I am going in this direction design wise for home builders for adventure mini mothership life as I see a need for affordable small craft. Production builds cost $190,000.00 -$250,000.00 and a build like this even with a fast bottom and big hp willbe under $30,000.00 to build. I am building old school from my original drawings lofting out by hand but Nathan and I have the plans done all in CAD a for CNC milling. Will take less than 500 hours to build with a kit.
So far as you see here I am 6 weeks in to build.

8’x20’x 15” draft. We have set up our layout for my wife and I. Interiors can be customized to suit such we have a dedicated space for a wood burning stove for heat if needed. I have spent 6 weeks so far on the build but if using a CNC kit then to get to glassing the hull as seen would be 2-1/2 weeks time.

Very cool Chris, looking forward to following along!

Love the slow, low hp cruiser idea. Why didn’t you build your 24’ version? Will you use the area under the decks and the hull for storage? Do you put something on the bottom to keep stuff dry?
Chip.

If u missed it

Love it!! Thanks for sharing

I originally designed a 17’er. But stretched it out to 20’ to ease the bow planking. Nathan and I have a 24’ design finished too. Both are all CNC part machine able.
At 20’ this design has everything we need. Anyone wants to lengthen it’s real easy to do so. This build is acutely 20’1” loa so it does not come under small boat rules. I have 3 airtight compartments so she will not sink. If under 20’ then I would be required to use foam flotation which I don’t want.
I have different bottom shapes to use if wanting to go faster, spend more money on engine and fuel, weight gain, noise etc.
We like to cruise along the coast so close we can see all the wildlife along the shoreline right up close.
