Building a ANOMURA 20

Well here is my latest design and build a 20’ mini mothership for fishing and exploring adventures up here in BC and Alaskan waters. I plan to tow my Ultimate 12 skiff as my tender, fishing and exploring skiff. This design will also carry 2 kayaks up on its cabin top for Rachel’s and my closer waters adventures. ANOMURA is this designs class name is part of a series of mini trailerable outboard cruisers from 18’-24’ long.
ANOMURA is the scientific name for Hermit crabs.
Our personal needs are standing headroom through out 6’3”, great bunk, dinette, galley, wood heating stove, and great inside visibility.
She will be powered by a Yahmaha 9.9 long shaft 4 stroke high thrust outboard with cruising speed of 6knts at 10 mpg. Basically big boat Trawler yacht speed. All up displacement is 4500 lbs fully loaded.
Hull motor and hardware will weigh in at 1800 lbs. now add gear, firewood if up here in BC.
I am building her in MDO plywood, spruce, fir and glassing over with polyester resin and eglass cloth. I will list total cost of materials but looks to be around $7000.00 US so far. I bought a 20 year old never used 9.9 for $750.00 so am ahead there.
Follow along as I build this design.
