Measure from the back of your rod to the front of the guide. That’ll tell you what you need.
Also measure width. First guide to the back of the blank, should be at least an inch and a half wide
Please post up some pictures once it’s done, been thinking off doing the same.
Sorry I wasn’t clear.

I’m going to take the rod into homedepot and see what works. May even go crazy and taper the end
Another option is to use heat to flair the PVC tube.
Several years ago when I cut out the stupid rod lockers from my old Scout 192 and made real rod storage I used this technique to flair the ends of the tubes when I mounted them under the gunnel.
Here is a video on Youtube I found this morning that’s very similar to the method I used.
1 1/4” thin wall, then flare the end with a coke bottle/funnel/wine bottle and some heat like iMac said.
Here is a link to what I have on our raft. Simple grey pvc, I think its electrical conduit. I cut it with a dremel and then touch up the edges. Use small bungees to loop over the reels and hold them in place.

I don’t recommend putting too much of a bend on them…..I had to pay to get my buddies Sage repaired when I slid it in….first day of a 7 day trip. I was as popular as rug burn that day!
For what it’s worth, if you don’t have a heat gun. Dip that PVC into a pot of boiling water. Turns it into a wet noodle without any fear of burning the ends.
