Tin star

My 1958 Blue Star Super Chief 14, highly modified into a Flats skiff. Riveted, Vee-bow, rounded chines, flat stern. I cut 50 pounds off the skiff, removed the center seat, cut the gunwales down to just 2-1/2 inches above the seats, put on a 1/2 inch ply deck. Weighs about 350 pounds, goes 22 mph with just me, 20 with two. Yamaha 15 4-stroke. No poling platform, as I’m almost 80! Trying to post a pic. TexasJim No luck20240507_153235.png

Hey @TexasJim - that photo didn’t come through - eager to see it!

Try again. I kept hammering and the pic shows below my post. Thanks.

I don’t see a pic yet. Was it one of the year models with the fins. I would have had to keep the fins. You see the old v aluminum boats around but I haven’t seen one modified yet. Should work.

Wonder why I can see my pic, but others can’t? TXJM: No fins. I’ve been flats & marsh fishing TIN STAR for five years. I made a jack plate, and can motor in about ten inches of water. Blue Star switched to fiberglass before they folded in the 60’s. Jim
