I used there in my Costas. If you look carefully you can see them in the bottom of the glasses. They work fine. Not as good I suspect as actual ground bifocals but functional.

That’s the same as I used, except I went with the 1.5 mag. I liked the fact that you could trim to fit and not lose the “focal point”. They worked great on the water, but if you use the same glasses for driving they can be distracting.
Bajio prescription rx in violet are I think better than Costa for rx lens on the flats good low light am and all day and cheaper
Hobie makes one that has a sunglass attachment that attaches to the regular glasses with a magnet so you do not need 2 pairs just have to carry the extra lenses I can not remeber the model I think it was Lennox.
Two things…..
Watch ebay for used Costa Reeftons - they pop up and you can get a pair for cheap and change out the arm. You can get a back up frame and another arm.
Check with your eye doctor (if that is where you got them) and see if they are covered by their warranty. My Costa Reeftons prescriptions have full coverage through them.
Got an email this morning from Bajio touting their proprietary technology called “Sea Zone” for prescriptions. Lot of good marketing lingo but not sure of the actual product difference.
I went through the reader stick on phase and finally broke down and got prescription lenses through my eye Dr. They didn’t fit in my costa frame very well and distorted the frame that I supplied. I worked on them when I got home and got them to a wearable shape. I have enjoyed using them but they are getting scratched up and I may be looking at replacements soon. Not cheap but I feel it is a necessary expense at this point.
I wear one contact in my left eye and since I’m near sighted I can see to tie on a fly with my right eye. It’s called mono vision. I just wear any polarized glasses
Maui Jim’s for as long as I can remember…I wear progressives and just changed to new model and update scrips…$$$$, but, they work. I wear double neck holders due to the heat and sweat…one to hold it up close on the face and a loose one incase one breaks…don’t want it sliding off into the water.
SMITH. I wear them on the water as sunglasses and I have a couple pairs I wear that are my daily prescription. I guess I’m currently a total Smith guy. I like that I can buy them online and send them back if I don’t like them. I can’t get the 8 curve frames due to my prescription and progressives but the 6 curve work great.
I have the brown polarchromic Smith’s that darken/lighten based on the ambient light. They’re awesome. Maybe it’s in my head, but I feel like I see fish better with them any of my Costas.
