Skiff chair

Looking at these two chairs for the boat. Anyone have the Cabela’s one that can share feedback? My buddy has the Costco one and it’s nice but I can get the Cabela’s one for $30 cheaper. Open to other yeti alternatives that don’t break the bank

That Cabelas chair shows to have a steel frame. Probably not the best idea for a salt water environment.

I gave a liked ,but if we had it The “Helpfull” like we had on MS Is what would be more appropriate :+1: as your correct Rust runs in a boat are no fun, a lil salt water spray and it would start marking its territory.

Yeti chairs are known for using powder-coated aluminum in their frame construction.

Prolly why they are $300 and better suited for boats !
Yeti trailhead camp chair…

I’ve haven’t used either, but I have been using a “beach chair” on mine. It works great and keeps the passenger low enough that I can see over them.

Unfortunately they are steel, but it doesn’t live in the boat, I just grab it when needed. It’s small enough that it folds up and stores under my deck.
There are other options on Amazon besides ‘ king camp’ that are quite bit cheaper. $40 or so.

I used a Yeti Trailhead on LI. Kids saw that I picked that one all the time so it showed up down here for Father’s Day. I plan on using it for ride alongs on my Whip.

Have you considered a bean bag chair? Very comfy and won’t blow out as easily as a light weight chair.

Good call on the steel. Probably not the best even if it’s powder coated. Think I’m going with the Mac chair since i can easily store in a hatch. Lighter too. I’ll report back how it goes.

I found a used west marine knockoff folding boat chair for 40 bucks great option as well

this is the move, I have the chairs and the couch for the family

I have had good luck with the E-SeaRider Small Tamale. They are super light and comfortable even for my self at 6’4. I’m sure and older person might not want to sit that low though.

I had this type of set up on my 2005 Pathy…I used two KENNEDY tie downs to hold it firm…worked really well…
