Proper name for a hook pull

What’s the proper name for a stainless steel hook pull that you can mount to the console?

You might not need the steel version…. for many years all I’ve had on my skiff are two “tie down eye straps” in black nylon (secured by stainless screws on each end). They’ve worked just fine in very hard commercial use with leaders as heavy as 80 and 100lb mono at times. Most days the leader we’re tying lures to are only 30 or 40 fluoro… Hope this helps, mine are on each side of my skiff on the gunnels, a few inches forward of the front edge of the rear seats for convenience…. When I’m pulling on them the pressure is to the side never straight up against the screws.

Note… they also make great anchors to hang a chum bag from if desired (something I might do very occasionally…

That’s what’s on my Gordon. It’s my favorite accessory on the whole boat.

Curious… where are you mounting these?

Typically on the console out of the way. Most are somewhere by the ignition and kill switch. You can put it anywhere you want but the console is usually where you see them.
