New guy from the Texas midcoast. Never made an account on the other site because I don’t fly fish and my boat is a jon with an old 2-stroke, but enjoyed the knowledge shared by members over there. I was disappointed to see the way admin/ownership on the other site treated you guys and decided to stop giving them traffic. However, on my last visit there, I saw one of the clues for this site. I appreciated you guys telling them to pound sand and creating your own site, so I created an account and subscription to support your efforts here.

Welcome to the site @3rdcoast ! So glad you found your way over. Nothing wrong with a Jon and 2 stroke combo - probably more fish slung across those aluminum gunnels than fiberglass has ever seen! Looking forward to pics and fishing reports - never fished the Texas coast, but always wanted to!

I spent the morning tossing a Rapala Skitter Walk with my bait caster. The fly rod never left the rack.

Jon boats and 2strokes are welcomed here. There have been more fish caught from jons than any other kind of boat, I would bet.
