Mansfield Lodging

I’m thinking about taking a week this fall and concentrating on the Port Mansfield area. Anyone have any suggestions for a hotel or VRBO down there with enough parking for a boat and good wifi? Thanks!

The guide I have used down there, Ben Pashcal, has a 2br VRBO Condo on the water with a boat slip

Moved to the Travel Agent forum for better exposure.

We’ve stayed at the Laguna House. Decent parking. House was nice enough.

AND SOME MONSTER BUCKS roam around everywhere down there.

You may want to consider Arroyo City to the south instead of Mansfield. The main reason is that if the wind is up, there is a lot of water from Arroyo that can be fished on the west side and you can hug along the west side to the north and south. You need a decent day to get over the east side, so if the wind is up, you’ll be more limited from Mansfield.

@hipshot and @lagunafly are in that area and could maybe give some more tips.

Great intel, thank you!

I’m kind of keyed into fishing the East Cut from my skiff. I’ve fished the jetties on foot for years and I’d like to be able to poke around out there.

I never considered Arroyo City in the past but looking at the map now, I need to start. South Texas is an awesome place to explore!

If you really want to burn some time, load up Google Earth and explore to the north of Mansfield, the south land cut. The water levels there can get really shallow and you have to know what you are doing, but that’s a whole other world to explore as well.
