very nice data set…thanks…won’t be using it for a while, but…fun to dream…although, I can’t imagine anything better than my 1995 MA17 with a Mercury XS 115 !!!

The Piranha 18 I feel is a sleeper design because the builder is not a fly fisherman . The interior build design is for bait fishing. This hull predates my SD Islandia design by a year. It has Recieved a very nice review by Florida Sportsman with the reviewer starting by saying he was very skeptical looking at the hulls shape but after lots of sea trials it got a very good Review. I would love to see Louis build one.
Now the Legendary skiff has a great name even before it’s out of the box. Spray rails sweep reversed so looking forward to seeing her in motion. To me skiffs are all about their hull design shapes from the sheer downwards. That’s where the performance comes from. The small improved details.
Chris looks like I was looking at their 17 and not the 18 that you designed. I checked your drawing next to the boats on their page I was looking at. As expected the one you designed looks like a much more solid platform.
Regarding the legendary 21 skiff. It looks great in the renderings. I spoke to them about a build early last year and they thought they would have the boat made and delivered in 2024. They still have yet to produce their first one 2025.
In their Facebook post I noticed some things in their vacuum bagging process that had me concerned, but again I’m just looking at photos online and could be Looking too deep. The Boat is pretty. It’s an 8° deadrise that I would think would help it get skinnier than a 12° but that difference may not equate to any draft difference real world.
Too big to be a technical polling skiff in my book. But could still be polled. It should be fun ripping around the bay with a 200 on the back, searching for Tarpon and permit or making the run from the keys to Everglades.
Time will tell with that one
