Kudos to the creators of SkiffHQ

Kudos to @iMacattack, @Zika , and all of the others who got this site started. It’s been in existence for less than 30 days, but check out these stats:

  1. Total members: 422

I know we’re all adjusting to the new function and format, but Imac always jumps into the discussion to understand the issue and look for improvements. In the last less-than-30 days, there have been multiple improvements and a lot of education . . . from guys doing this for free.

Thanks guys - great work!

It seems to me that the site will grow exponentially, but the rest of us can help it.

  1. The more content we create, the more value it offers to new/prospective members. We’ll go through growing pains as content grows and then needs to be better organized, but that’s part of the path.
  2. Continue reaching out to others who might be interested in the subject. When we had 100 members and those 100 members brought one person over, we had 200 members. When 400+ members do so, it grows exponentially. So - don’t stop spreading the word - especially if you haven’t been banned from that other site. We don’t need to “steal” their members - most folks are on multiple forums. They can decide where to put their energy based on the value offered.
  3. As we get credentialed, classifieds are a big draw. @iMacattack - if there is one suggestion I have for you is to lower the gate on for-sale ads at first. That’s a big draw for folks. Once membership grows enough, raising the bar to limit the “come-and-go” folks makes more sense. Just a thought!

Thanks for the feedback. Keep it coming. As @iMacattack constantly points out, this is everyone’s site and we want it to be fun, enjoyable and as user-friendly as possible. For some of us, myself included, that means spending time poking around the various topics and using the tools available to tweak the experience.

On another positive note, we are almost to the finish line with the legal/accounting/subscription stuff.
Be on the lookout for a big announcement very soon!

Thanks again to everyone for your support, patience and trust.

While @Zika and myself may get a lot of the attentions, don’t forget our unsung heroes that are doing a lot of work that’s not visible to members. @DBStoots, @Smackdaddy53 & @JCDesigns . Plus a couple others who have steeped up and helped us immensely with critical back-office paperwork/legal/accounting tasks! You know who you are…

I haven’t done much to help yet but I will when things slow down a little in life. Thanks to everyone who made this possible! That goes for the current members and all the future individuals. I referred a client this morning that was on the other one before it crashed and burned and he should have created an account.
