Jump Seat Cooler Tie Down?

I’m planning for a small cooler in front of the console that’ll do double duty as a jump seat. Do you guys strap/tie these down?

I’ve used both turnbuckle and the Yeti straps, but prefer the straps now since it is easier to manage. They make generics like the Yeti that are stainless and do the same job. The nice thing about that style is the deck plates are low profile. I am a master at stubbing my toes and those have not given me any issues. I’ve nearly lost my toe on a turnbuckle.

I have Yeti tie straps and deck mounted strap plates. I already mounted these years ago before I found out about Kenedy tie downs.

I do not and it will migrate around a bit. Some guys are using Seasuckers to the console to hold them.

Thanks guys. I do like the idea of the suckers but there’s a big plastic door for the front of the console. Ordered some straps this morning as I don’t want it moving around.

On the offshore boat I have straps on the 250 quart coffin box, but the drink/food cooler doesn’t really need them as it’s heavy enough to stay in place. Go figure.
