Recently returned to SC for good and need to get a SC GPS mapping chip. What do y’all recommend.

Since FMT does not cover that area, I say Navionics Platinum +. You’ll need US East for SC.

I second navionics platinum plus. I had that in my Simrad and it was great.

I have the navionics in mine. It’s worth the upgrade if you can catch it on sale but far from any type of game changer. It still shows me on dry ground most of the time. Not going to show you oyster free lines etc.

I use Garmin Navionics as well. It’s ok on my Raymarine but better on my phone. Depends on if you need a fish finder, it might be better to mount an iPad and run it on that.

Anyone ever use C-MAP upgrade that has images?
I have it installed in my Lowrance Elite FS but literally have not had it on the water yet. Just playing with it in the garage, definitely more detail but I’m not sure about the Satellite imagery??? It seems like it might not want to be zoomed a whole lot. Not sure if signal in garage makes a difference??
Not sure what it’s worth but there was a guy on the old site that made a satellite chart for the Charleston area. I had him make one for me for the Cape Romain area but I haven’t used it any to see how it works. I’ll attach a screen shot of one of the messages and will look to see if I can find an email or a good contact for him.
