Flamingo June7th

Pleased to make the first post in the ENP section and it’s a great one. Fishing with my son Nick and NASCAR
legend (jk ) Ian we tore em up along the coast. Snook were plentiful along the beaches and creeks with largest at 28”. Released at least 25, and lost a few to sharks. We went 2/3 on both permit and tarpon and played with a giant school of bluefish, teasing them with a hookless plug. Added trout, jacks and a lone Spanish mackerel. Sharks were everywhere, bringing at least 6-7 to boat. Great fishing and weather ! Nothing like it!

That’s terrific! Snook on the beaches for the spawn? What were they eating?

Snook were chewin a Savage Shrimp pretty good, along with the NLBN 3” and also live pins. The problem with live bait down there is the sharks. We found tarpon, hooked a couple on Zman LT’s , and switched to finger mullet and had a 3 shark bites to 1 tarpon. A nasty 100lb bull ate a slow trolled finger mullet.

Welcome aboard @LastFlat You know how to make an introduction!

Enjoyed that report! Thanks for sharing!

Forget to mention the guy who thought it was a good idea to wade fish off Middle Cape canal. We were getting harassed by lemon sharks around the corner from him.
