Figured it out, with some help from Jeff who is pretty dialed in on lowest hole, same prop, but has added cup. I can get to 6k by not touching the tabs at all (retracted) and putting some harder trim up on the motor, then tapping down slowly through the porpoise til it settles. I’m up to 38mph or so at 6k. Still have too much fuel, and haven’t gotten a true flat/no wind day yet. Think I can get to 40mph.
Gonna push on this a little more before I raise it up.

One of my favorite adds! Is nice to leave the pushpole behind when just tooling around, going to the sandbar etc. You do sort of loose a rod/reel slot down there. It will fit another set up on the lowest rack with the pin but I just wouldnt put a brand new nice rig on the lowest because it will rest/bounce on the pin - I put my junk 3k spinner there and its fine. I was thinking of wrapping some seadek around the pin to avoid reel wreckage.

Yeah. No tabs is critical when looking for max speed.
I had to raise mine up a hole because of the extra pitch.
The only way I can hit my top speed is with tabs
I should have said, “on the EVO platform”.
I needed tabs on my VHP to hit my max too.
