@Zika on top jet skies and googans, ya now gotta keep an eye in the sky.. smh

To clarify I in no way support this BS. I just thought I’d share.

This is absolutely not fair chase. I cannot believe that the FWC hasn’t gotten in front of this. I’ve asked BTT for their stance and have not received a response also.

Absolutely unethical. I’m going to make some calls Monday.

Wtf, this is absolut bull+×÷=. Now googans think this is the thing to do. Hope fwc fines them for taking it outta the water!

Pulling that fish up off the water is a misdemeanor offense as well.

You see the one on MS the guy Mac_daddy has it by the head half way out the water its a huge tarpon, hes claiming Ga Record ,they should disqualify him for the way he is handling that tarpon also sad …

I had that exact thought.

What’s really infuriating is the way this article presents this as something amazing. Everything about it is beyond unethical.

Yea,the googan at old place is trying to generate likes on the gram. ■■■■■■■ thinks it’s bigger than the 16lb world record. Either he got lucky on rolling fish or it was chummed up and cast to. They used to do that in SC,just to see if they would eat a fly. Water is dark ,no real sight fishing this time of year.

You need to add forward facing sonar and Omni sonar to the same list as they’re not much different. I just learned about Omni sonar. It’s used by the rich sportfish guys to find Marlin. Certainly a game changer.

When they post it on social media reply and tag FWC if nothing else lifting the damn fish out of the water is a violation.

Drones have no place in outdoor pursuits. Fishing/scouting/etc.

I am calling BS on him claiming he was fishing “fully compliant 20lb leader” but didn’t measure girth.

Who the hell would do that? Be IGFA compliant, measure fork length, but not measure girth.

Plus, as Huff says, with 20 lb you might as well be fishing with rope.

That story is certainly not ethical fishing! I hope they get ticketed and some gear confiscated!

Some well known guides use drones to locate tarpon too…a few of you probably know who I’m referring to.

It’s more than most people think and the guides doing it try their best to keep a lid on it. It’s more than just spotting fish.

Lots of fly guides use drones to find fish. Before drones it was planes. Not saying this is the same but I’d say it’s very similar, considering biggest advantage of drone is finding the fish.

Yeah I was about to say all those legendary guides and record hunters used planes all the time. The pilots would communicate with wing tips and patterns to the guides. Same crap it’s just drone is more affordable to most people

They should pick him up by the head and see how he likes it.

Might as well be virtual reality fishing.
