DIY fly box/storage pouch

Thought I’d throw it out there as I thought it worked out pretty well. Cheap easy access storage when you don’t have any built in compartments. I have a hydraulic pump mounted on the other side of the rear bulkhead with the nylock nuts visible on the cockpit side. Decided to install longer bolts through the hydraulic pump so I could attach some 1/4” white VHMW polyethylene and use an old ripped rubber net basket to make a quickly accessible fly box pouch.

Now looking for ideas for a pouch style bag or something similar for storage that would attach in between the grab bar verticals, to store small items like phone, sun hoodie, hats, sunscreen etc? Any ideas?

Good addition. For the grab bars, maybe something like this or a folding lure bag like they use for offshore lures?

@Zika, Something like that would work pretty well. I’ll try and find something similar thats 12" wide and a little longer. FYI I think from memory the spare piece of VHMW polyethylene I’m holding up is 12"x12"

If you have a good upholstery shop nearby, they could probably make what size you want with vinyl, hook and loop/Velcro closure. I’ve had a few custom pieces made that way.

Looks perfect

My wife got me a Yeti sidekick for my grab bar. Initially I poopooed the idea but I love it.
