I know there are many great articles out there and was looking for a more detailed “why” with the casting motion and came across this one from an Optimetrist (quite surprising). I feel what he explains fits with the more classic cast and less so technique of much of the younger saltwater casters. For those who learn most effectively from reading, I recommend taking a read.
As a mechanical engineer, I find a few quibbles with and oddities in these particular explanations, but it should be pointed out that Glen Ozawa is an American Casting Association competitor who knows a lot about casting.
Thanks for posting. I will be reading what he has to say.
