For those that love to sight fish snook on the beach… has anyone noticed a drop in fish numbers lately?
I fish the beach often in Palm beach county, and I haven’t seen a single fish since last Friday. I’ve always noticed a little gap in July or so when the fish just go absent, blindly attributing it to fish moving offshore to spawn. With the full moon about to peak, I’m wondering if that’s it. Anyone else seeing fewer fish in the last week or so or is it just me?
I Walked the beach several times from Jupiter Inlet to Juno Pier the last 4 days- am/pm. Saw a few mid day on 7/6 and nothing since. No bait fish either. first time in this area here so can’t compare.
Moved to Florida East Coast Fishing section.
Fished Highland Beach on Monday…caught one under slot snook.
They’re offshore with the full moon.
It was like a light switch. I’m also in Palm Beach
Thanks, that’s what I figured. Hopefully they’re back soon as the weather is finally getting nice.
Well, I saw a few fish today on the beach under very tough conditions- wind and very weedy. Seems like they’re back though.
