Looking for a saltwater grade soft bait binder where the rings and zippers if any do not rust. Need minimum 6-8 bags. Can have pockets or not. Not a fan of Zman open bottom binder but, if majority says they are good, I’ll try em.
Think the one I have is Albacore? I took the metal rings out and replaced with plastic zip ties so they wouldn’t corrode.
Some 550 cord with the guts removed would do the trick also.
I use the Z-Man single wide binder when kayak fishing and the double wide version comes with me on the boat. It’s not perfect, but I’ve been pretty happy with them over the past few years- haven’t had any issues with rust on the rings.
I like how they have small pockets where I keep jig heads, saves time when re-rigging to have everything in one place.
I ordered a Buzbe and sent it back. Had to dispute the credit card charge when they couldn’t find the return, despite delivery confirmation. I wasn’t impressed with the product, either. Maybe @Capt_DCardelli has a better experience.
Calcutta makes one with a semi-rigid molded shell.
I have had three of the H20 Express Academy brand ones over the last decade. They hold up well & are pretty inexpensive!
They did have a delay in the shipping….but, not a huge issue…
So far, it works OK, I have their trays for hooks etc.
I like it so far, I have a few smaller ones which hold my DOA’s and popping corks…..AND, if it’s good enough for CA Richardson….it’s good enough for me (LOL) ![]()
Time will tell…..

I have a Shimano Baraja bait binder. It’s lasted several years in the salt. Looks like Tackle Warehouse may have them for under $20 right now.
