Ability to reply to Bazaar Section posts

A question for the community.

Currently the “Skiff Bazaar” category requires a Trust Level 2 to post or reply This weekend we’ve had several members achieve that status. Congrats!

Just a reminder to earn trust level 2…

  • Visiting at least 15 days, not sequentially
  • Casting at least 1 like
  • Receiving at least 1 like
  • Replying to at least 3 different topics
  • Entering at least 20 topics
  • Reading at least 100 posts
  • Spend a total of 60 minutes reading posts

To post OR reply to posts in the Bazaar the user needs to be at Trust Level 2. I know there were mixed feeling on MS about this. My question – should we limit the ability to reply to a Bazaar post to a minimum of trust level 2? Or should we allow first time members who sign up the ability to reply in that section. There is a moderation component to this but I want to get the communities feelings.

SkiffHQ is not ment to be a FaceBook Marketplace for Skiff/Fly Gear/Etc. It’s a community meant for engagement.

I like the trust level thing. I know it will be a PITA for a lot of people but it will definitely weed out the riffraff…I know I would feel more comfortable dealing with a “trusted” member.

As of this morning we have 56 members who have graduated to Trust Level 2. CONGRATS! The Bazaar section is open for y’all to post for sale items!

Pretty cool idea! Are you also going to include a pay way like other sites for someone to buy sell leave or keep it as trusted?

Yes fingers crossed we’ll have our subscription capability this weekend.

@Flyclimber, the subscription system is up and running. The site is launched, but we need yours and everyone’s help to pay the start-up bills and get on firm financial ground for our long-term success.
