This isn’t music for the skiff, but I heard a quartet led by Cyrus Nabipoor on trumpet last Thursday. They played some intense, yet accessible jazz and the most honorable cover of Glenn Campbell’s “Wichita Lineman” ever. Lately my road music has been stuff by the Ten-Dollar Cowboy…Charley Crockett. He got started busking on NYC street corners. Don’t be deceived…He’s West Texas through and through. He’s the real deal.
