Hydration

I am using the same thing for Tarpon season. Yeti only had the 6 gallon one.https://forum.skiffhq.com/uploads/default/original/1X/e83bbd4bb7094fa799e68bcc7f87ec32ac150ebe.jpeg

Baja Gold Salt

I use this. First thing every morning, Baja Gold Salt, ginger, honey, lemon, green tea.

Been drinking Hoist. It’s an IV-level hydration drink. I believe it’s used by DOD forces worldwide.

Hydration on the skiff this time of year is key and water only does so much, when you sweat you know that salt stain on your hat/clothes at the end of the day? Gotta replace that sodium loss.. Liquid IV or any of those additives are a must with your water intake!!

I have a quart artc bottle i fill with electrolyte solution (liquid iv from costco). After ve drank that i have a half gallon water bottle. I usually have some seltzers in cooler as well.

Couple coke zeros in the AM, 1/2 gal insulated water jug for the 2hr transition over to miller lite, grillos pickles (I’m fancy like that) for the electrolytes and then hooter brown covers everything after 3pm to calm my nerves and bring the blood sugar back into range

I use a Kleen kanteen 48oz water bottle that is half ice filled with water and two packs of LMNT.

LMNT was a game changer for me getting cramps at night in my legs.

Absolutely hydrate, part of that should be replacing electrolytes. I learned that the hard way by spending 2 1/2 days in the Spring Hill FL hospital for constantly drinking just water thereby flushing out enough electrolytes to get myself into a serious medical situation. Very good thing I was not fishing alone the day it happened.

That is more common than most people think. Especially if you watch salt intake.

I have a 64oz jug of water but then also premake one or two liquid IV in two 20oz reusable water bottles.

I hate to be that guy but health has been a big deal to me the last several years after really abusing my body in my younger years drinking, partying, beating my body up in the oilfield and construction industry all while getting very little sleep. Most of these electrolyte powders and pounches have other ingredients in them that are not healthy. LMNT powder has hidden maltodextrin that is not on the ingredients list. The others have all sorts of other chemicals too. The cleanest electrolyte supplement I have found is Hi-Lyte liquid (available on Amazon) and quality salt like Baja Gold is a great simple way to keep your electrolytes up. I drink about a gallon of well water a day and anywhere I go I take a gallon per day with me in jugs so I’m not stuck drinking chemical laden city water or crappy bottled water that is just filtered water from the local water treatment facility. I don’t drink alcohol either, it’s terrible for your health and most cases of heat stroke and other issues are from being hung over then drinking on the boat. I know people think everything is good in moderation but toxins are not something I will willingly put in or on my body if I can help it! Many people think it’s overkill but I want to be around and be healthy for my boy and hopefully grandchildren!
