They don’t sell just the fork, right? (Complete push pole only?).

Austin Lowery did one of the first videos depicting Flip and his guava pushpole forks….

Anyone have experience on how the wood holds up on shell or if it is notably quieter than plastic?

I used to have a shell bottom pole on my boat, got it as a cheap backup while I repaired my carbon marine. Pros: noticeably quieter than my carbon poles, wayyyy cheaper, lowcountry local. Cons: horrible durability and warping, short (personally prefer 23’+), splintering and water logging. Im not sure if the pole was quieter due to the wooden foot or the bamboo pole itself. I also believe the pole I had was one of the first ones made and now theyre glassed over which may affect how it performs.

Great post.

For those of you who have wooden forks on your push pole… do you notice a difference when sneaking up on fish vs a plastic fork?

I have thought about doing this for a while, but since I am getting a new push pole, now may be the time to make it happen.

Watch those videos, one of them discusses this.
