Hopefully PermitChaser sees this. He spent a hot minute getting a consistent method and flys for catching grass carp.

Bonefish flies small crayfish colored flies work. I use Egan’s Headstand all the time.

Last year when we had the big cicada hatch, the carp were eating every bug that fell in the water. Flies didn’t have to be very realistic, just size and shape were all that mattered.
