Take a look at the 5th pic, the tail is above the shank, the short tail is stacked, so you can trim to the shape that places the tail above the shank. Trimming is what creates the effect. Draw a line on the fly I tied from the belly to the tip where the green and white meet, that’s the cut you are looking for.
