Snookin’

Good time yesterday with @VinnyL on his sweet Evo. We made the circuit, from Chokoloskee to Lostmans and back through the backcountry bays and creeks. Only caught a few until about 3:00 when the fish alarm went off. Ended the day with over two dozen snook and a small tarpon. Almost all on 4” or 5” paddle tails rigged weedless. Good times and a good friend—even if he does talk funny!

Nice! Did Vinny bust out the buggy whip? Can’t make it out there for another few weeks but I’m itching to try again. Thanks for the report!

Always a pleasure fishing with ya Dave, it was a great day. Apart from probably being more wet yesterday from sweating then when I fell in during our last trip it was an epic day, last 1/3 anyway!!
@rovster, I kept her stored. Oh, You were right DB, I woke up with two bruises:joy::joy:

Nice! Sounds like a great day to me. I was out Tuesday, and fishing was tough. I found a ton of reds, some well over slot. The only problem was they didn’t want to eat. We managed to catch a small snook, a fat trout, and a red. I was debating heading into the back but second-guessed myself.

Thanks for the report. It’s always fun to be in the right spot when the dinner bell goes off.
