I believe these are a relatively popular model. Anyone have any gripes? Simrad is what I’m used to using on a buddies boat and I believe this is the model I’m going to go with for my new build.
Does anybody run this with their Tohatsu 50/60?

The biggest draw back is no knobs, when you have wet hands or moving it’s very hard to zoom in or out, but a lot of folks use them and it does run FMT, (not as high quality), I would advise to play with one first, or if you can swing it go with the version with knobs.
Ditto. I’ve had a few and never had a problem with FMT. The knobs do make it easier to use, but those models are more expensive.
You want the NSS Evo3 or NSS4. Big difference. The knob which makes a big difference is only 1.
I agree with 7wt.
Recently replaced a GO7 ( that died ) with a 9” NSS EVO3. Im glad I spent the money to get the buttons and knob. Its a game changer when in rough water. Trying to pinch in or out, or touch a button on the screen is a big problem when it gets rough.
The nss evo3 just went on sale for the holidays. 9in is 1500 so almost 8 or 900 off. Planning on picking one up for my upcoming build
Where is it on sale?
West Marine and Bass Pro
Yup west marine for sure
Very voltage sensitive.
Nss4 will not run fmt, it is new operating system and some folks dont like it. I talked to a builder that had a client bring skiff back and them swap out the 4 for the 3s
Thanks for updating on NS4. I’m still running my EVO2 whch does all I need. Other than tide info and depth I am using FMT for chart.
I’ve had the Go 7, Go 9 and now Evo3s 9.
The knob is a big upgrade and makes navigating new waters so much easier and intuitive.
If you know your waters and need it just for general reference and basic nav, the Go is fine. If you are using it to explore, find paths and contours - the knob is gold, especially while running.
