I enjoyed that. Thanks for sharing. Summed up my experiences perfectly.
Good stuff!
Cool Video. I am constantly impressed at how well some of these videographers tell a story in 10 minutes while keeping it entertaining.
That was cool and very well-done. Thanks for sharing!
Well done, he does great work!
I have seen just about all of his work…good stuff…but, for me personally, this was a bit to “art-sy”, but, well made for a 10 min film…he’s craft on video has improved over time and I enjoy watching his work…I hope to meet him someday at the ramp…
If anyone has created any type of video, know it’s NOT EASY…cutting in scenes, music, voice overlay, timing, etc. is pain staking and takes time…I’ll post up a few of my old videos I used to make that are about 10 years old. I made them with little pocket hand cameras in 720 non HD…I’ll put them on my personal server and I’ll throw a link to them…

It is art!
In the eye of the beholder…

He preaches what I preach on the skiff all the time THROW CLOSE TO THE FISH. I tell my clients that I would rather have them spook some by hitting the fish in the head than cast 6 feet away from them all day.
I actually much prefer the “artsy” approach to filmmaking to just cast, crank and wind videos. I think it’s more reflective of why I fish, to enjoy the entire experience..
Been watching Christian’s content for a while now and he only gets better. This one is outstanding. I like his regular fishing content as well. Great YY Channnel
thank you for sharing…as a fellow drone pilot…nice shots ![]()
I don’t know if you are a CFR107 Authorized Pilot…but, realize for any others, it’s a FAA offense to profit from any DRONE videos if you are not CFR107 licensed.
For a hobby, it’s fine…but, if you profit in any way, you can run into a bit of problem.
There was a guy back in the Pandemic who was filming a bunch of fishing stuff and adding it to his website who was NOT CFR 107 licensed, he got a not so nice visit from the FEDS and was fined…

That’s a bit excessive relative to the sickening crimes people are getting let go for multiple times…I can’t get behind that kind of overreach. Just my opinion.
I read a report once on how the Gov prefers to enforce crime on those who have something. It is more profitable than going after the “actual” criminals who usually don’t have anything.
Certainly seems valid in my experience
Great video @anon95025584
Stunning pics - great variety of visuals and subjects. The jumping poons, tailing reds, and snook swimming off are gravy to an excellent film!
Your flying shows it…well done.
BTW, nothing like doing a hand grab to a Large Drone with spinning blades when the boat is rocking:)
for others, and the reason I put this up is so you don’t get in legal issues, You don’t know when the FAA is monitoring forum sites and someone can get into trouble.
I don’t mean to be an ARSE on this subject, but, it took me a few thousand $$$ to attend the CFR107 EXAM and then study for several weeks to pass the test.
I feel that there are alot of people who fly and have no knowledge of drone regulations but are putting UAV’s in the air and put someone in danger. For example, I carry liability insurance anytime my drone heads into the air.
For those interested, just google CFR107. For example, you can’t fly in the National Parks. or near airports, or over a stadium or public gathering…And, if you crash, depending on $$$ value, it must be reported to the FAA. God forbid, you crash into a human or vehicle etc.
I am a huge enthusiast for recreational drone pilots and some of their videos…incredible stuff.

@Redchaser on one the mill house podcast I watched the other day, the Cpt they had on said the same thing. “With reds just hit em on the head, they’ll either eat or blow out” Pretty much true.
Thank you.
I get pissed when I find out someone is guiding without a USCG license or a state guide license. In addition to the work and expense of class and testing, there’s also the commitment of accumulating 360 days on the water.
There are lots of those out there and need to be reported.
