Hey everyone, been a lurker on the other place and decided to come over here as well. I grew up bass fishing, then switched over to salt when my dad bought a Skeeter bay boat. Now I mainly fish the Galveston and Matagorda complexes with the occasional trip to Rockport/Port-A a few times a year. Currently fish half conventional and half fly. Im a novice fly angler but enjoy it and have been doing it more and more - either way love being shallow sight casting. I also waterfowl hunt the upper coast and central Texas. Currently running an Esper 18 prop tunnel and have been loving it so far. This is my first official skiff, previous boats were a Haynie Flats 20 and various other jon boats. (Obligatory boat pics below). Happy to be here and learn and share info on boats and fishing.
Welcome aboard!
Nice boat. Is that made in Texas?
Its made out of Tennessee by Esper Boatworks
Nice. Must be new, they have a placeholder for a website. Nothing on it

Welcome aboard @FishinDudeSteven Nice ride, glad to have you with us.
Glad you found us! Welcome!
Welcome. I used to fly fish East Matagorda a ton back starting in 2007. I still fish it on occasion, but the bay today is no comparison to how it used to be with grass on the south shoreline from one end to the other. Maybe again some day.
Welcome from the Corpus Christi area!
Welcome @FishinDudeSteven - Beautiful boat! Glad to have you over here!
Welcome from Vermont! Glad you’re here.
This is not a full scale venture for me at this point. Just building a few boats a year and enjoying the process. I’ve got several pictures and videos on instagram if you want to check them out. 1/4” aluminum plate bottom that’ll stand up to some serious abuse.
