NC striper - back to being able to keep 'em?

Honestly not sure how I feel about this - but pretty sick and tired of the Guberment telling me the fish are theirs to give away and I can’t have any.

Sounds like the argument is basically that NC has come to the conclusion that they can’t create a self sustaining striper population, so a put-and-take model may be just as good.

This is typical - rather than fix the (literal) upstream issues - China’s pork farm pollution, river damming, commercial fishing/trawling, they have decided to use our tax money to buy fish, put them in the river, and keep the rubes entertained.

One step better than the current situation where we pay in and can’t keep anything, but these guys can all go to hell as far as I’m concerned.

I need to look further into this, but I feel like any striped bass management plan the idiots in charge around here put into place should be somewhat regional. We have so many different striped bass fisheries in our state- Cape Fear, Weldon, Outer Banks, etc. I’ve caught them from Ocracoke to Weldon to the Cape Fear, but have really been struggling to catch them in the CF the last two winters.

Man NC is so backasswards with their management that it isn’t even funny. Between Agriculture, Industry, Pork/Chicken farming, ect.. The waters there don’t stand a chance.
