Movin on up...err...over?

Long time member of the “other” site, although I haven’t been very active the last few years. I am in West Central Florida, typically fish Tampa Bay for anything that will bite, and have built a few boats from scratch. I’d post more pics, but as a new member I am limited to 1.

I’m happy to see this site pop up. The true spirit of the other site was lost a while back, but I’m hopeful this forum will recreate the magic. Cheers.

@FireCat1981 - glad to see you over here. I have always enjoyed your projects . . even the ones that don’t go so well! Welcome aboard!

I was going to ask, would my tiny houseboat project be a good fit here? It should have pretty shallow draft. If so I’ll recreate the thread.

Absolutely. Even though it’s not a true skiff, your restoration process is always informative. And welcome to the real site @FireCat1981 Glad to have you.

I would love to see it!

“Even though it’s not a true skiff”

Definitely not a micro per the old definition, but I think in its original form it might fit into the macro class. 20ft, 150hp max, shallow tunnel, and 7” draft.

Welcome! Glad you made the transition.
