I realize this is a bit of a “it depends” question but which design – in your opinion – is the best hull?

Yea, I realize it’s very subjective, but if you took all the different characteristics most skiff owners claim they want, draft, poling, comfortable running, economy, speed, performance etc. which design has the best blend of all those characteristics? May not be the best in anyone 1 category but has the best overall blend that makes it stand out.

Cheers!

Not a fair question, these are all my kids…..Ha
I want everyone to look at my designs, their favorite companies hull design shape and look at all these skiffs at the hulls shape at Station #5 going forward. I feel between #5-7 this is where your skiff is going to get its best ride from going into chop. Most all my designs if you study this area have similar vee shape here, even the hulls that have a transition aft to 2-4 degree vee aft. So for most all round flats skiff running around at present after much subtle refinement my vote is the Beryllium 18.6 at this length. Then for speed in rough waters the Magro 18 or Islandia 18. I will post all my designs hull lines for everyone’s to use as reference along with all their statistics for displacement draft etc.

Here it is plus a bigger version. Look at the Displacement numbers and compare to other designs if you can get their displacement info.
