What color/finish do most folks prefer for Lowcountry shallow water fishing? Does it differ from us gin clear emerald blue water anglers?
I need to get some prescriptions lenses and now would be the time to get new lens color and finish.

580 gold lens
also keep lowlights in the boat
I was going to say copper but I’ll defer to the expert, Capt. Cleve.
My current Costa Reefron nonprescription are Green Mirror Polarized Glass.
I have green w/ copper if memory serves, smith barra.
Brown or similar base is probably the more important part
Hard to beat green mirror for just about anywhere in full sun and partly cloudy days..
I’ve recently had my Smiths replaced under warranty and got the Yellow/Blue Chromopop polarchromic glass lenses. (Damn whata name..smh) but anywho, they absolutely make Redfish pop. Both in dark and clear water.
Red colors are just brighter for whatever reason. For instance, I looked down at my legs/feet and thought holy smokes, I got burnt. Took off my glasses and everything looked normal. No idea if they make em in prescription, but for Redfish they are the jam.
Brown/ bronze mirrors and low lights for inshore, I keep green mirrors in the boat for open water nearshore as well.
Bronze Mirror Chromopop
Does anyone have any recommendations on low light glasses on the cheap side?
Smith bronze chromopop. This is the way

Smith Chromopop Amber
Smith Chromopop Low Light Ignitor
covers both bright and low light
Kast King glasses and Calcuttas work well, but longevity is where they lack. But for $20-$30 they are hard to beat. I still have a few pairs for every day wear, and save my Smiths for fishing only.
Strike Kings…that is why I post Bill Dance!
Suncloud is the best price/quality value out there. But I’d invest in the best eyewear you can.
