Issue with glasses slippage

So, I have a huge head. So I wear big glasses. Issue is I am swarthy. My nose is greased lightening.

When the eye doc right across from me carried Smith glasses I was all good. They quit about 5 years ago. Last pair was Raen sunglasses as glasses. new pair are Tom Ford sunglasses as glasses. Issue is slippage. My Maui Jim fishing glasses are good, but I think it is a lens material issue. Regular day glasses are much heavier.

I have used the gecko grip anti-slip nose pads off Amazon with varying success.

Anyone have success with any other products? And if you say Ivory soap I will laugh, cause its funny, but still doesn’t work. Thanks - Nehrke

Get a box of the Zeiss(wal-mart)cleaning pads. Wipe the pads and your nose.

Literally looking at a 6o pack I got for the camera. I’l try it and see if it helps clean me up!

@nehrke I had this same problem with my MJs. I am an idiot, and a buddy bought me a $10 costa rubber sunglass holders with a rubber piece that lets me tighten them to keep them on my face. Problem solved.

If you still have the old Smiths, Tajima can make lenses to fit them. Pricey but very highly rated lenses. My pal has them and loves them. I’m going to get a low light pair made when I get to FLA at the end of the month. That’s where my 2 sets of Smiths frames are kept. PS - I just got prescription glasses a few months ago.

Three articles I read and saved re: my planned Tajima purchase. The other option is to wear your chums tight to hold the glasses on, like a baseball pitcher would do.

I guess I should have been clearer in my request, as I reread it and I was confused! I mean my regular day glasses that I wear to the office, not my polarized fishing glasses. I like some of the suggestions, but i think I might look a bit like a 1980’s NBA player in Rec Specs! Any other ideas? Thanks!!

And PS - thanks for all the feedback so far! Sorry had to edit to include this….was on my first cup of coffee and forgot my manners!

Roka makes some great regular glasses and sunglasses. In addition to fishing, I’m also an avid runner, occasional cyclist, gym rat.

If outside i’m sweating. These glasses have tech to grip.

I’m not associated with the company just want to share my positive experience with them.
