One of the Carolina crowd. In between boats at the moment if you don’t count my kayaks and creek boat! Been looking at the Santee 16. Like a Gheenoe but a bit wider beam. They make them in SC.

I see a lot of familiar names. I’ll go back through and look at my history there and will send some invites to people I’ve interacted with.
I also have bought some used gear on there and will reach out to a couple of guides I’ve dealt with.
I really like the Santees. Just to give them a plug, I think it’s a family owned business out of Greenville, SC or close by. Big Franks outdoors sells them, I think they have a few stores across the South, we have one dealer in NC but their website is crap. I’ve thought of just ordering the boat to spec from the factory and let them ship it to the dealer up in New Bern.

@Hogprint I purchased my Santee from Big Franks 6 years ago. Look for HaulinVols Adventures on Youtube and you can find a review of it. Feel free to ask me anything, I have been super happy with it.
