Is anyone else following the Great Loop Jon Boat guy? He is/was trying to set a speed record but I think some weather pretty much killed that.
I’m not gonna say his is insane, but he is crazy. LOL

I’ve been following along- pretty wild adventure to say the least. He was 50/60 miles offshore of Florida early in the trip! Probably not real smart with potential for afternoon squalls- but to each their own!

He’s 70+ years old, was trying to beat the 16 hr record. I posted pictures of him and his JB on a thread here but I can’t remember which one

A buddy was telling me about this. Just crazy.
He’s not gonna break the single engine record this time but he definitely is probably the only one to do it in a jon boat and with a tiller motor.
