Goodland and Lox River

Went to Goodland on 11/15 for the 1st time and learned a lot. I couldn’t get over how fast the current moved with the tide coming in.

We started the day towards the end of a negative tide and figured we would get to our spots at the beginning of in coming tide. We headed to Fishhawk Creek, right away we caught several lady fish but couldn’t find a snook or redfish. Fished here for an hour or so and moved to Buttonwood Bay, to get to the area was a mission to say the least. Once again lady fish were on the end of the line.

Moved again to Snag Pass and caught a few more lady fish. The tide was running so hard the trolling motor couldn’t hold us, definitely didn’t see that coming.

Decided to fish Thanksgiving morning locally (Loxahatchee River) in Jupiter. Fished the north fork for the 1st time in years. 3 snook and 2 jack. Felt good to get back on the bite. Went back to basics, gulp shrimp and 4” mulligan.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
