Oh look they announced it, described it purpose and limitations… guess they learned something from the absolute poopshow they caused on microskiff.

Stock price is performing in alignment with their management skills.

Financial Highlights for the Three Months Ended June 30, 2025

  • Revenue decreased 13% to $14.5M, primarily due to a decline in MAUs, which impacted programmatic advertising. This follows a period of record-high MAU in the prior year.
  • Adjusted EBITDA was $4.3M, down 39%, representing a 30% margin (compared to 42% in Q2 2024), reflecting lower revenue and increased investments in AI and traffic diversification.
  • Net loss was $1.8M, compared to net income of $0.4M in the prior year, primarily due to lower revenue and $1.6M in one-time personnel and acquisition costs, partially offset by income tax recovery.

Basically, when MAUs (Monthly Average Users) drop, ad revenue takes a hit since there are fewer eyeballs on the page, which means fewer impressions and clicks to sell. But it’s not just about the money, less activity also makes the forum feel quieter, which can push even more people away. Advertisers notice that too, so the platform looks less attractive all around. It’s kind of a snowball effect: fewer users → less engagement → less revenue → harder to invest back into the community. Investors see that as a warning sign that the growth engine might be stalling.

I follow another forum of theirs for S10 trucks for some repairs I did. That forum is dead too. I just search it for info needed, havent seen any sign of Fora Frank, but his content wouldnt show up in my searches.
The bottom started falling out of the stock (Fora.to) about mid February, when did you guys start the effort on this sight? It was pretty close to that time I think, but I was a bit late to the party.

The Pensacola Fishing Forum is a Vertical Scope/Frank community. A member was asking about replacing the rotten wooden deck/carpet in his jon boat. Frank suggested Starboard throughout.

Has anyone been getting the “Come back, we miss you” emails from MS? It sounds like they are getting very desperate

I haven’t but that’s because they nuked my account and changed the account email address. So win/win IMHO.

Yeah. I’m proudly banned, they’d have to be ridiculously desperate to invite me back. I’d go though, just so I could call the admin a c*nt again.

On one of the gun forums I frequent, they tried to introduce it and it went over about like it did on the one we all left. I warned everyone on the gun forum about the issues. After the fallout started from the members, they came out and said he (frank) would only show up if tagged. I haven’t noticed him around much. Seems that maybe they learned a small amount from #!*! Show .

I got axed so now come back emails for me

I always hate seeing a business go under, but this one is getting what it deserves. The sad part is that everyone here made an honest attempt to turn the situation around and keep MS a good forum, but those idiots doubled and tripled down. I have honestly never seen a case i business where relatively small mistake was handled so cataclysmically badly. You would have to really try hard to be that stupid.

I’m also a member of the Pensacola Fishing Forum, but not active because I don’t fish there any more. I noticed Frank lurking on the site.

I did get a “come back, we really miss you” email from MS. I guess I didn’t sufficiently annoy them to ban me forever.

Yeah, there’s a few of us that won’t get the come back invite!

I have received 3 of these emails so far. It’s definitely quieter there were I normally look to see about builds going on

That’s because the enterprising builders are now here at the HQ! :+1:

Vertical Scope only has itself to blame.

There are very few inshore reports on PFF and it’s mostly a hunting/recipe/social gathering these days.
