I hinted about this skiff a while ago. Kevin just dropped it.
When I moved to NC I asked Kevin to build me a Glide but make it rowable and stronger. I needed something I could row in rivers or in NMZ’s but still fish skinny flats with zero compromises. The Towee was too small and loud. The Hog Island was too heavy and… ugly.
I wanted a tunnel. I wanted to switch between a jet and a prop, between rivers and flats, and between oars and pole.
I saw it for the first time yesterday. It’s not a Glide. And I want it. This thing is SICK.
All of my minimalist skiff buddies are going to lose it over this thing.
No man you literally hyped up a new skiff with a bunch of salesman BS, then crickets. Don’t be getting butt hurt when people ask about the “revolutionary” skiff.
An object that is revolutionary changes the way everyone does something. Not just a skiff to help one persons particular needs.
I love what East cape is doing. I cant wait to see the 21 in action. I love how East Cape isn’t afraid to try new things. I could just take a lot less of the Salesman’s Bull Crap.
No man. I’m not a salesman I’m not affiliated with East Cape at all, other than I like the team and product. Also, I didn’t claim a revolution. I said there was nothing like it. There isn’t.
I couldn’t care any less about ignorant opinions and stupid memes. I don’t care what you think it is, either. I do actually think it is revolutionary, since it was mentioned. And I know what it is and what it will do. I also know what it will cost, and I believe that alone is enough to make it revolutionary in these times.
Waterline beam + weight + performance + draft + versatility - price = a revolution in my book
As far as changing the way everyone does things, quit being a bitsh.
