Disappointing year

Well, this year has been disappointing on so many levels. I really didn’t fish as much as I would have wanted to, fished solo every home trip, and had a few skunks.

I thought this year was going to be a good one. I had a new to me Lostmen. First fish out if it was a 21” largemouth bass.

After that I managed one okay snakehead.

From there I had my Kiptopeake Trip. Lost my PB puppy drum and that was the only red I hooked this year. Supplemented with some flounder, this one being the biggest:

Now I am carrying a two trip skunk. As the weather begins to turn in Virginia I know the warm water species fishing is done. Not sure how many trips I have left in the year.

I hope for more fishing and more fish next season!

@HeaveToo - I remember that fall dread from my days in Roanoke. You still have some pretty amazing smallie, striper, and trout days ahead of you though! Hang in there!
