Gathering some input for a friend. What sort of fly rod colors would you guys like to see? Market seems to say black, gray and matte with various thread schemes.
I still like the old RPLX brown with scarlet and gold thread.

My rod rack is slowly becoming greener and greener.. The Air 2 Max is quickly replacing most of my saltwater rods
@Jason_M - I do love the Winston green and Sage blue was killer. But I like the flat colors as well. My Scott Tidal has a flat grey I like. The original NRX had a flat black that was nice too.
They can always build another one if it doesn’t come out good! I’d go flat grey with ice blue wraps.

I am in the Henry Ford camp! Aside from the aesthetics, anything that covers up the black carbon fiber adds unnecessary weight.
I like raw carbon personally. I also don’t like a lot of extras on my rods, as it’s generally just added weight and can dull the sensitivity. About all I do on my personal rods is a trim band , and that’s only if I’ve got a reel color to match.
