Bryson City

Hey guys, we’re headed back up to Bryson City in a few weeks to enjoy some cooler weather and do some hiking/fishing and was wondering if any of you guys could recommend a guide for trout in the area. We used to visit Blue Ridge once every year for the same things but the development there has gotten out of control. We went to Bryson City last year and had a great time but no fishing, just chillaxing. I’m looking to wade and not use a drift boat unless you guys say that’s the way to do it up there. Also, if anyone has other cool things to do/see while there would be appreciated. We’ve done the trains and they were a lot of fun.

Thanks,

Mack

We use Fly Fishing The Smokies guides at the Bryson City Fly Shop. The guide I had last time did only wade fishing for some beautiful brook trout. He’s out west now, but the shop was great.

Go fish Hazel creek, you can get dropped off at the mouth, fish all day and they will pick you up. Lovely creek this time of the year.

You can also wade the Tuck east of Bryson.
